Vancouver Island Challenge # 1 and Bike Swap - May 11, 2008
May 5th, '08
May 11 will kick off this seasons Vancouver Island Challenge Series Race #1. (Each track on the island will hold a race this year). Sign up from 10-11 with racing as soon as posible. If you want to be an Island Champion, here is your chance to get it going your way..... Champions will be determined by taking you best three races plus the Championship. Championship award will be given to rider with the most points in each age group for Boys, Girls, Boy Cruiser and Girl Cruiser. Good luck.
May 11 will also mark this years Bike Swap - Bring out you good condition bikes, parts, helmets and Bmx gear and get a little cash for it.
See you at the track...............
RACING CANCELLED SUNDAY APRIL 20TH DUE TO SNOW STORM
April 19th, '08
SORRY EVERYONE, BUT DUE TO THE 16-20" OF SNOW NANAIMO AND AREA RECEIVED ON FRIDAY/SATURDAY MORNING WE WILL NOT BE RACING ON SUNDAY APRIL 20. THE TRACK IS BURIED UNDER 12" OF SNOW AS OF 7:00 PM SATURDAY NIGHT.
AS WE MAY GET SOME MORE SNOW TONIGHT IT IS UNLIKELY WE WILL BE BACK ON THE TRACK UNTIL WEDNESDAY'S GATE PRACTICE.
PLEASE STAY OFF THE TRACK UNTIL WEDNESDAY AS THIS WILL ALLOW THE TRACK TO DRY OUT (WEATHER PERMITTING).
WE WILL TRY TO MAKE UP THIS CANCELLED RACE LATER IN THE SEASON.

Well the first practice is in the books and we had a good turn out. We had some new riders sign up to give BMX racing a try. Check out some pictures on the Photo page in the Events Gallery under 'March 16 2008 Gate Practice'.
